#2 Couldn't download files bigger than approx. 38MB

For some obscure reason, seems that wget downloads stops at around 38MBytes, halting the program. The same happens with socket download. The only foolproof way to download such files is by the browser's downloader.
At least a check should be made and the download aborted if this happens.
