Hi Everyone, It has been a while between updates, so we wanted to let you know the latest happenings with the MP3elf. The big news is that we have version 2 hardware available. We have pictures, schematics and construction guides up on the website at http://mp3elf.net A brief summary of the new features: * Almost 50% smaller * Pushbuttons mounted on the PCB * Mounting for LCD on the PCB * Reduced part count * IR remote control support The hardware is fully tested and operational We have also added new features to the software * JReceiver support (http://jreceiver.sourceforge.net) * Web based playlist management * Internet streaming support (shoutcast etc) * Ogg Vorbis Transcoding * Menu support The software is reasonably stable but is still "alpha". We expect to have "beta" software out in the next couple of weeks. The hardware is available now in both kit and assembled form - all you will need is a TINI and optionally an LCD. To purchase the MP3elf follow the "purchase" link on http://mp3elf.net The purchase form is only for complete kits and assembled MP3elfs. If you have previously contacted us about purchasing individual components, please drop a line to wi...@us... and we will be in touch regarding payment. Thanks, The MP3elf team |

elfServer 1.14 released mp3elf 0.6.0 released These two new releases add significant functionality and increased stability: LCD support is now controlled from the elfServer rather than hard-coded into the mp3elf code. Support for idv3 tags has been added to the server. This information can be delivered to the mp3elf LCD. No installation detail is contained in the mp3elf distribution, however installation is straight-forward. Simply copy the mp3.tini file to your TINI and run it. More information is available in the construction guide which is available at http://mp3elf.net Regards, Paul Wilkinson pa...@us... |
