What are the procedures for telling mp3blaster what the audio device is? I had mp3blaster working on a previous Debian-based PC install - it picked up the default sound card without a hitch after I had alsaconfig find and set up the card and had alsamixer set the sound levels, etc.

I have used numerous GUI-based audio players where I can access the configuration/sound card setup screens and get MP3s to play. Ubuntu (for PowerPC) regards the "Screamer" hardware card this way (with output from "aplay -l":

**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Screamer [PowerMac Screamer], device 0: PMac Screamer [PowerMac Screamer
]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

Beep Media Player (BMP) has ALSA 0.9.7 output plugin with Default Audio Device = Default PCM device, Mixer Card = Power Mac Screamer and Mixer Device = Master. XMMS is the same except it has ALSA 1.2.10 output plugin (libALSA.so)

Not that it matters, but I use SSH to run mp3blaster on this PowerMac from a Gateway PC running Windows XP and Cygwin. Doesn't work locally either on the Mac.
