Assuming you are referring to MoviX or MoviX2 (in eMoviX it would be slightly more difficult) you should do the following:

      1. download the chinese fonts from
      ftp://ftp.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/contrib/fonts/chinesefonts/
You can choose among 4 sets:
      big5-kai
      big5-ming
      gb2312-kai
      gb2312-ming
(hope these names say something to you, they are chinese for me ;-)

      2. if you do not have linux, probably you need to download bunzip2.exe from
      http://sources.redhat.com/bzip2/
      to decompress the archive.

      3. open the archive with something like WinZip

      4. extract from the archive a set of fonts.
For example from the gb2312-kai package you may extract either gkai00mp24 or gkai00mp16

      5. put the whole extracted directory under the
      src/mplayer/mplayer-fonts/
      directory of the movix/movix2 package

      6. create a new iso and burn it on a CD

      7. from the movix console menu or from the graphical "Preferences" menu select the font set you just added

      8. let me know if it works! :-)
If it will work fine I'll add it in future movix versions.

        Very good news!
Please let me know which one of the four chinese font sets you used so that I'll include it in the upcoming MoviX version.

BTW, anyone willing to translate movix docs in chinese?
Having translated at least the 4 boot messages files would be already nice.

Ok,i must to say i'm still a student and in fact i don't have very much time, but if u need my help,i'll try my best to translated some file into Chinese for MoviX.
P.S.Maybe it's more possable that i have time to translated some readme file(of course some sort ones),but, let me finish the downloading first.  :-)

i think i could finish the MoviX2's Docs before this coming Sunday, should i send the finish job to u first(u can download a tool named "NJSTAR COMMUNICATION" to display Chinese,u must check whether i've made some mistake or not)?
Then,i will add some "color" to it.

I've already finished the job,and i added one more paragraph on how to add Chinese fonts(it is from here)--i think people who want to see a Chinese MoviX2 Docs will also needthat.
And,though the Docs is finished,i'm sure there are some mistakes in it.so,ask more people to have a look at it and check it--to translate is easy but to compare is so difficult!  ;-)
      Then,when i send it to u??send it to "peggish@users.sf.net"?
