#1 not working with some window managers

I did a quick test of this with icewm and jwm window managers and could not get this to work properly.

Using icewm, the behaviour is as follows:

The magnifier appears as a black circle with no content, except that borders when application boundaries are crossed are visible. Titlebars and the desktop taskbar are not visible.

Using jwm, the behaviour is as follows:

The magnifier appears as a black circle with no content, except that window decorations, the titlebar and the desktop taksbar are visible. Using jwm, the magnifier does not stay on top, and slides under the other windows, with the original mouse pointer sliding over the windows.
