Do I understand correctly that I can record mouse movement with my normal speed and than replay it faster with timestretch?

If it is supposed to work like this, for me this feature is not working. The execution time is shown to be faster in the status bar, but the mouse moves at the same speed. I'm under windows 7. Do I need to change something in the system for this to work?

It works for me. Timestretch -> Custom. Write in 50x. Next time you run it goes fast. :)

Not sure what you mean by status bar but haven't been using this nifty MouseController for very long. And incidentally, Windows 10 here.

    Nikolai,

I haven't heard about problems with the timestretch feature. It used to work for me when I was on windows 7. There are no changes required in the system.

The only thing I can think of is that you're recording too many events and your OS isn't able to handle the events at increased speed. Could you attach your recorded mcd script and basic system specs?

    Hi guys,
thank you for the feedback. I attached the mcd for which it should work. While this is a rather large one I also tried a much smaller one and it does not speed up.

Can it be some strange corporate setting like the symantec endpoint protection we use?

      Nikolai,
It seems that your mouse is running at a very high resolution. I found that I can't play back your file at 1x without falling behind, there are just too many move events.
For the time being, maybe you can dig into your system's mouse settings and see if there's a related option. Maybe a DPI setting or similar?
I will have a think about how to fix that problem on my end. Perhaps include an option not to record move events, just clicks. Or some way to reduce move events if there are too many.
Either way, please let me know if you have found a setting to make the mouse generate less events and if that fixed your problem (for now).

Hi Thomas, thank you for your help.
In Windows 7, if you have a cheap mouse, you only have the pointer speed setting. I tried the fastest and slowest settings there but it doesn't improve playback speed.
DPI I think I could only change using a gaming mouse.

While I'm handing out test releases, here's one for you.
It has a new setting under Extras / Change Recording Sensitivity
Try leaving it at the default setting (100), record a short sequence and play it back. Then increase the timestretch to 2 and play it back again. If you get a warning that too many mouse events couldn't be played back in time, decrease the recording sensitivityuntil it's working for you.
You will see that the mouse moves less smoothly as you decrease sensitivity but that's ok. Every click event is recorded.
Let me know how you go

Also, if it's all working, make sure you delete the old version of MouseController one to avoid accidentally using it.

    Dear Thomas

The new version is working for me.
A sensitivity of 100 gave me 99% dropped mouse move events. But when I set it to 20 and in the end 10 the acceleration was working even with a timestretch of 20x.
The error message is also informative so I like it.

Thank you very much for this release.
