thanks to avant for finding an issue regarding debian distros.

i have updated the makefile. it seems debian distros will encounter an error during compiling fixable by uncommenting the lines in the make file that are noted. there are directories that need to be included for debian distros and possibly other distros as well so if you do encouter an error during compiling the files please open the make file and look for the (#) commented lines in the INCLUDE DIRS section.
