Introduction to the code in the MountainMeadow3 Repository

Welcome to the code for Mountain Meadow version 3.  

This is an open source project.  The license information is in the file LICENSE.txt



Steps for using this code are:
1. Install Microsoft Visual Studio for full functionality.  However the free Microsoft Visual C# Express program can run most or all of the code; it cannot, however load the setup project. (You may use Microsoft Visual Basic for new projects such as program pieces).
2. Check out the code from the repository
3. Create your own code signing key and other encryption keys
4. compile the solution and log into the test site or create your own SQL Server database
5. create your own database password and mm3license.mm3license file if using your own SQL Server Database

Instructions for creating your own local database are given in the file 
c:\MountainMeadow2\Database\ReadMe.text

Getting Oriented:  The first step in getting oriented is just to run the program. (If you can't compile it right away, download the client installer from eastridges.com to play with the program.)
The second step is to try making a Program Piece module and plugging it in.  A brief step-by-step tutorial is given in the online help in the program under menu items Help, Technical Reference.

Finally, after that you can browse through the code and see much more (rather haphazard) technical notes under c:\MountainMeadow3\Documentation.
