With a project full of plugins, yes there are. But every config does. So it's more a processor charge problem, and the amount of proc time available for plugins to do the job. Windows has nothing to do with a realtime OS, so the driver also has problems when the proc charge grows. When I just received my 828mkII, the current ASIO driver was loosing sync in that case (with the well known high pitched noise). The problem was solved after a few revisions of the driver; the noise was replaced by silence and the driver now manages to recover the sync in a very short time. But most of the time under windows, when the number of plugins starts to be too high for the machine they are audible glitches, which is solved by setting bigger buffers. This is the normal comportment for a DAW. Regards, Francois |
