Hi Kahon=21 >>>I'm planing to adapt your project motionmodeling as a base of a modelin= g transformation tool, with which the UML diagrams can be converted to CORB= A IDL files. Hi All, I tried the latest development version of ArgoUML 0.19.6 and it looks very promising! Great work! Here are some comments: 1) ArgoUML is very fast, amazing. Nice diagrams. 2) I imported a big XMI file from Poseidon without any errors. 3) Though after that I met some problems: - Activity model does not imported well. I have an activity model attached to a use case and this is gone after the import. - I only see stereotypes only one per model element. This is not good since when using AndroMDA you need to mark your model and often you need more than one stereotype per model element. IMO this is a very important aspect for ArgoUML to be able to support AndroMDA. Again, I'm very impressed with the new ArgoUML and I hope that someday we can have a complete Open Source MDA development... Maybe it is also possible to make join development between Motion Modeling (http://motionmodeling.sourceforge.net) and ArgoUML? Thank you, BTW.: I added the AndroMDA ArgoUML project into AndroMDA Wiki: http://galaxy.andromda.org/confluence/display/USER/Projects+Using+AndroMDA -- --------------------------------------------------- Blasius Lofi Dewanto --------------------------------------------------- OpenUSS - Open University Support System http://openuss.sourceforge.net --------------------------------------------------- E-Mail : de...@un... --------------------------------------------------- |

Hello Aidan, let me give you some hints. There is no Use Case yet, just the class diagrams. To start, you have to change the motion modeling perspective. On the lower right you start with a new model. Then you can add classes etc to the tree on the left. Switching the editors on the left you can change to the diagram view. There you can add a class diagram.. Then drag an drop classes or add new classes to the diagram via the palette= . Hope this helps. Hey all, I've just installed the Motion Modelling Eclipse plugin. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to create a simple Use-Case diagram. Could someone point me in the right direction? --=20 Aidan Delaney Lecturer, School of Computing, Mathematics and Information Sciences, University of Brighton. |

Hi All, First, welcome to louis.coude and changwei007. I am proud to announce that we released Motion Modeling 0.1d3 on September= the 4 2005 This third developer release fully demonstrate Class diagraming possibilit= ies in Motion Modeling. PLEASE take a look at updated screenshots: http://sourceforge.net/project/= screenshots.php?group=5Fid=3D128149 Next release will be 0.1 RC1 and will achieve the first goal: produce an o= pen source and eclipse based modeling environment for using androMDA code = generator (classes models only for the moment). I would really need a little help from people experienced with: * UML1.4 metamodel JMI definitions (For putting more uml1.4 features, = 95% of Metamodel specific logic in Motion Modeling is expressed in javascr= ipt so it's very fast when you know UML1.4). * GEF, specially EditPolicies? mechanism. (To help me improving user i= nteraction in diagrams for v0.1) * ecore and UML2... * or any person motivated to learn one of this point then help Motion = Modeling project So don't hesitate to contact me on the list: motionmodeling-devel=40lists.= sourceforge.net Thank you for your attention. Hi Buns and Findulas, I announce you that the whole tree view API in JSFramework has been rewrit= ten to a =22new style=22 that is much more stable than the old one... The validated Tree View API in MotionModeling v1.0 should be very closed t= o this one. The namespace treeview has been rewritten to the new style and I will rewr= ite packages and diagrams treeview next week. The Actions JSFramework API has been also slightly modified and can be con= sidered as stable until v1.0...All actions in trunk has been rewritten too= follow the =22new style=22. So Buns: You can from now implement some tree views and actions that will = be integrated in v0.2, but please: - Do the minimum specifications forms for the moment... - Don't write any diagrams stuff for the moment... - Tell me what part of UML you are going to assume (use case, sequences...= =2E) and which treeviews/actions you will add...So we can elaborate plans = for v0.2...and synchronize each others... Nexts steps for me are: - Put on a little documentation about how to write tree views. - Validation of specification forms JSFFramework API - Rewritte all current diagrams features and validate some aspects so Buns= can start working on his diagrams... Congratulations to Findulas who has started to externalize all strings a= nd translate it to german... The whole i18n features are planned for v0.1... I will put online a wiki next week, some articles can be written only be m= e for the moment but maybe you can help me for two pages: - How to get a working copy of Motion Modeling sources in eclipse workbe= nch. - How to write a new translation for Motion Modeling. I hope evrybody will have a good week, (and good holidays for Findulas).= =2E. Hi buns, Here is your question... where can i find the =22/M2=5FDiagramInterchangeModel.xml=22 file (declare= d as METAMODELFILEPATH in src/com/flashscience/motionmodeling/uml14/metamodel/implementations/UML14M= etaModel.java) = ? This file is bundled with the UML1.4 JMI interfaces : jmiuml14-di.jar.. You missed something in java: THERE IS A CLASSPATH COMPOSED BY MANY repertories/archive (that exactly t= he same...) therefore, any resource (a file, a class...) can be looked up = in the Working Directory (1 relative/absolut name=3D1 or 0 file) OR in the= classpath (1 name =3D many or 0 files...) The class path is a sort of multipexer for the classpath entries... when you write Class.getResource (...) you look in the classpath... Hi Bernd... If you have downloaded the package eclipse-3.0.1-with-motionmodeling... I 'll see that I have included subclipse (eclipse SVN explorer inside...) So open svn repository perspective (view->open perspective -> subversion o= r svn...). =21=21 You should before list with svn command line client (download it if= you are under windows): svn list https://flashscience.homelinux.org/motionmodeling/trunk Then accept definitivly the certificate... Back on eclipse: Right click on the svn repositories view-> add a repository location: https://flashscience.homelinux.org/motionmodeling/trunk You should see a directory tree that contain two directories starting with= com.flashscience..... right click on each -> check out as project... You should have the two motionmodeling plugins on your workbench then. Run -> Run -> New run-time workbench... And you can see the last motionmodeling features : creating diagram from s= cratch and lot of news.... You can also modify the source in the first workbench then run again your = own version of motionmodeling... I will explain you as soon as possible what is the global architecture, yo= u can read the README file in the core plugin directory... and all javascr= ipts are situated under ...uml14/scripts/... I have no MSN but I will put an IRC server at my home this week or next (I= 'll keep you updated...) Please try the new version of motionmodeling so you can follow my advance = and work with lastests interfaces... = If you have problems for getting the sources or running it don't hesitate = to write... ------------------------------------------------------------- NetCourrier, votre bureau virtuel sur Internet : Mail, Agenda, Clubs, Tool= bar... Hi, I think I will first start with you at the cores, because I don`t really know the specifications of UML 1.4. Right now I try to test the package. The download of eclipse is just finished. I there a possibility to chat with you? I think it would be a good start. Hi Findulas, First thank you for your interest, your the first reply since I published = 2 weeks ago. Please write on the mailing list motionmodeling-dev=40lists.sourceforge.ne= t so our conversation can be archived. It's really cool to contribute and we have exactly the same goal: =22levels the developer to an architect.=22. So, there is two way to contribute for the moment: - Help me to build the core(java) and to validate the APIs. OR - Start to develop tree views (javascript) for usecases, sequences and oth= er UML stuffs...(because the tree view API will be validated soon...): Thi= s is more easy.... So what do you prefer??? Are you interested by beeing responsible of one module??? Anyway, you should use the last SVN version of motionmodeling (which has a= lready a lot of new features): https://flashscience.homelinux.org/svn/motionmodeling/trunk... (Tell me if you don't know how to use subclipse for getting the code quick= ly....) I 'm sure we will make good jobs together and I hope the team will increas= e.....
