I went through some convolutions getting motion 3.2.7 installed on a
Debian unstable system, and I could use some suggestions installing it
under Fedora Core 6. On Debian the main problem was that I couldn't find
the required libmysqlclient15 package anywhere (the closest was
libmysqlclient15off), so I installed the Sarge version and satisfied its
dependencies. Fedora is giving me similar grief. I recently installed
the x86_64 compilation of Fedora Core 6, but the dependencies for motion
seem to be the i386 packages. Being relatively new to Fedora and its RPM
system, the only way I know to install the dependencies is to track each
.RPM down manually and install it, but since its dependencies aren't
automatically installed by rpm, I get stuck dealing with those too, so on,
for ever. Any ideas?
