Is there a way to have a separate bitrate for the motion detected mpeg4 files,
and the timelapse mpeg1 files?
I'm in the situation where I want the quality to be good during an event (so
sufficient detail can be seen, because it could ultimately be important), but
unfortunately that same setting results in the timelapse file growing by about
1 MB per frame. With a timelapse rate of 2 seconds you can see this will
quickly get out of hand - a 24 hour file will be something like 43 GB in size
which is impractical to archive.
For the moment I'm saving a jpeg snapshot every 2 seconds which only writes out
about 60 kB per frame, but this also presents some challenges (such as
assembling 43,000 jpegs into a single mpeg1 file)
Thanks in advance for any tips.
