I've been tinkering with my motion setup for several weeks, and I'm
still getting a lot of false motion detections, mainly due to shifts
in lighting (e.g. a cloud passes overhead blocking out the sun, or a
tree branch outside the window casts a shadow). Are there any good
rules-of-thumb for minimizing these in your conf? There seem to be
dozens of parameters for lighting and brightness, so I'm not sure
which I should focus on.
Also, how is the value for lightswitch interpreted? If I set
lightswitch=5, and 100% of my image brightness changes, would that be
ignored? What if I set it to 50, and only 25% of my image brightness
changes, would that be ignored? I've tried different values, 25, 50,
75, 100, and it doesn't seem to have any noticeable effect.
