I'm using the Fedora13-supplied motion and ffmpeg, which are:
I'm having a weird problem with the movies generated with:
on_movie_end /usr/bin/ffmpeg -itsoffset -1 -i %f -vcodec mjpeg -vframes
1 -an -f rawvideo -s 150x100 %f.jpg; /usr/bin/ffmpeg -i %f -f -vcodec
mpegvideo -an %f.mpg
The movies come out super-dark, and are almost unusable. But the
thumbnails (generated by on_movie_end) are OK!
If I split the movie into individual jpegs, they come out OK too, using
ffmpeg -i 38-50.avi splitup-%2d.jpg
I don't think it's a player problem, as I've tried vlc, totem, mplayer,
etc. Has anyone seen anything like that? I know ffmpeg is famous for API
