Monday I am having the ADSL line that my webserver runs on upgraded.
The upgrade includes changing the carrier line from ISDN bach to good
old analog POTS to allow more bandwidth for the ASDL.
The ADSL line today is a 512/512 kbit/s
The new is hopefully faster (cannot know until the installation is
complete). But I ordered a 20Mbit/1Mbit. And if this will work - the
Motion TWiki should be twice as fast with a 1 Mbit uplink.
The change also means that my very old ATM based ADSL equipment will be
replaced by modern Ethernet based and I will need to get a new IP address.
The DNS update can take up to 3 days to update globally. Normally it
should be OK within 24 hours.
So be patient. Hopefully Motion TWiki is back Tuesday and with double
speed. If the "copper wire gods" are with me.
