As I am new to this list, but have been using motion for 3 good year, I
wish to thank every one for this nice software. It has provided my small
electronics/mechanics shop/hangout with a cool video logging system!
After switching my main workstation to linux (all my software tools are
finally OSS!), I really started to look for a replacement to cambozolla.
Spawning 17 process of java to keep a small window open with 2 fps video
to see who is ringing my doorbell is wasting way toomuch cpu on my
workstation. Java is cool, but for video?
My hopes were up with the qt client of Palantir. Tried it with Motion
3.2.2 snap7 connects but no image. The problem is probably not on
Motion's side since the delphi client of Palantir works well (with wine,
and pulls 90% less cpu than cambozola!!).
Would anyone know of any jpeg stream viewer that would be small
footprint and relatively optimized?
