Hi, I have 2 computers running motion SVN. One is slackware 13.37 32 bit and the other is slackware 14 32 bit. Both are set up almost identically, but the slackware 13.37 box randomly stops running the on_movie_end command and won't run it again until I kill motion and restart it. The problem started when I upgraded to the SVN version of motion about 6 months ago. I am currently using revision 557 which seems to be the latest. In the terminal where motion is running it shows that the command is still being executed: [4] [DBG] [EVT] exec_command: Executing external command '/usr/local/bin/mksnapwrap /export/motion/cam4/2013/06/22/155050.avi' but in syslog I see: Jun 22 15:51:40 ivernia kernel: [2678083.555318] motion[14468]: segfault at ff ip b775e055 sp b42fd080 error 6 in libpthread-2.13.so[b7759000+15000] There is one of these segfaults every time motion tries to run the external command after it's gone wrong. Sometimes it will work fine for a whole week before the segfaults start, other times it will go wrong after only running a few hours. Does anyone have any idea what might be going wrong? My slackware 14 box is running fine with an almost identical configuration and I never need to restart motion - current motion uptime is about 200 days on there. |
