[Motion-user] motion- moving Orbit webcam

Hi folks,
I'm fairly new to motion running on an Archlinux laptop. It is doing a
grand job for me, taking regular snapshots from a Logitech Orbit web
cam.
I would now like to slowly pan the web cam southwards in daylight
hours and back northwards at night.
I have been reading the MotionGuide
( http://www.lavrsen.dk/foswiki/bin/view/Motion/TrackingControl ) but
am not at all sure about how to add these tracking options to my
motion.conf file and would really appreciate some guidance.
Could some kind soul spell out for me what I need to include in
motion.conf to get the camera to pan, say, 1 degree per hour?

Sorry to be so dim but I'm sure all will become understandable with
time!!
