You might consider using Jungle Disk. With their software you can mount the a virtual drive that is backed by Amazon's S3 service. The storage and transfer costs at Amazon are very reasonable (something like $0.15 per GB). You can then mount the same Jungle disk from other machines and still have access to all your files without using any extra storage. See http://www.jungledisk.com for details. Hope this helps.
