Hi Gordon, I have testing all PCI ports without changes. I think isnt a hardware problem.. (not sure), I suspect is a problem with the drivers (nvidia, bttv, or both) because the problem is allways over transparency of applications and Xvideo. Playing with the parameters of xorg.conf I can "smooth" the artifacts. Yes, in other PC I have a nvidia AGP and other BTTV Capture Card without problems, but when I exchange the capture card the problem persist... only in this machine, with PCIexpress. If I put the two cards in this machine the artifacts are increase. I put a new power supply of 600W (older 350W) and the problem continue.... I have testing on opensuse 11.0 64bits and (now) opensuse 10.3 32 bits... I have testing with 6 differents kernels and nvidia drivers.... I´m go crazy ! :) Regards 2008/11/5 Gordon <gc...@tr...>: > Perhaps an interrupt conflict or noise from the card? Try moving the > BTTV card to a different PCI slot.
