This README has the steps to untar and use the Linux Kernel source. The file "mcs8140-usbip.tgz" contains the kernel source, flash file system and a README.txt for compiling the sources. Extracting the Source files ---------------------------- 1) At the bash prompt of your Linux PC, execute the following command. $ tar -zxvf mcs8140-usbip.tgz 2) Now you will have the "mcs8140-usbip" folder created in your current directory. This folder consists of the Linux 2.6.15 source code ported onto the MCS8140 system, Source code for USBIP application and the image directory from which the flash image is created. Also, it includes a README file with instructions on how to compile the Linux source, compile and build USBIP application and also to build a new flashdisk.
