I believe the best way to do this would be system-wide using /etc/profile.

I just released my first distro BTW. www.packetfocus.com/hackos

The next step I need to do is to remove some of the apps that I don't need.
Right now the distro is about 802mb :)

Hey Joshua,

If you want to do this system-wide, you'd probably modify /etc/profile in
the mainmod. For only the morph-user, you could take a look in the
/etc/skel/ files.

You could use a minimod (there are more ways than one to get this to work).
You could modify your ~/.bash_profile and make a homedirectory-minimodule,
which would set the JAVA_HOME variable for the current user.
