If you're trying to autobuild a basemodule, you should look at isomaker
instead (which creates a base.iso). There are quite a few README's
(/usr/share/doc/mmaker), and one is specifically about isomaker.

Afaik we also have a 2.6.17 base iso on morphix.org/autobuilds :)
