The knx-hdinstall script isn't maintained (is more as a backup), but it doesn't
seem like the ataraid drive changes should give any problems for me to integrate
into the (gtk)installer. 

About the device nodes, can you verify if these are being created at boottime
using the livecd? Might be a more global problem of the install process, namely
that certain nodes aren't being made at all.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback and patch/idea, I hope to integrate them into
the next release,
