Light Gui is great!
I so wish the Hard Disk Install was reliable. Now it
reports one thing and does another. Reliable success or
at least success\failure reports.
Same thing for Nic Card.
Kanotix seems to have a reliable nic dialog that simply
builds a ifconfig command. -- that approach would work.
Kanotix also has an app called QTparted that is GPL. I
don't know about dependancies etc... Their install
routine gives back more feedback to the user but its
really no better in the end.
The best HD install routine (IMHO) is in the Mandrake
install. It supplies graphical partition maps for
various formats.
I think that you only need a firewall\simple user
partition strategy and a Server\Power user strategy.
This may be a tall order but it would drive Morphix way
ahead , and I'd really like it.
