Hi, you can cd /etc/yum.repos.d; wget http://centos.kodros.fr/moosefs.repo; yum install mfs SRPMS, i386 and x86_64 are available. Two points: - DNS may not be up to date where you are. The subdomain has just been created. Please be patient. - I have made an update to the .spec file, to move config files to /etc/mfs instead of /etc. I had no time to test it yet. I guess it works :) Feedback welcome ! Oh, and don't worry about the GPG key, @gmail address is another mailbox I use, and the same key is used. I'm using the initial rpm I built two weeks ago without problem up to now. 6 machines involved (1 master, 1 metalogger, 4 chunks). The only change I made in -2 rpm release is the config files directory. So nothing in the build chain has changed. We're still in testing, so nothing close to our real workload. I've made a (little) 1TB volume, when we work on 70… I guess you'd have a realistic answer asking Michał Borychowski or some people from redefine.pl :) Or wait a couple months until I deploy it for production. thanks, -- Laurent Wandrebeck HYGEOS, Earth Observation Department / Observation de la Terre Euratechnologies 165 Avenue de Bretagne 59000 Lille, France tel: +33 3 20 08 24 98 http://www.hygeos.com GPG fingerprint/Empreinte GPG: F5CA 37A4 6D03 A90C 7A1D 2A62 54E6 EF2C D17C F64C |

You can download screens from our CGI monitor and have a look at loads on the master server and on one of chunks: http://www.moosefs.org/tl_files/monitor_screens_200912.tar Kind regards Michał Borychowski From: Stas Oskin [mailto:sta...@gm...] Sent: Monday, June 14, 2010 2:48 PM To: Laurent Wandrebeck Cc: moo...@li... Hi. > > Please find attached the .spec used for rpms creation. > > > Is this version 1.6.15-2 the latest of the spec file? Were there any other updates? I would like to do some changes, and want to make sure it's the latest version. Also, probably would be worthwhile to commit it to MFS git afterward. Regards. |

What do you plan to do ? > > Also, probably would be worthwhile to commit it to MFS git afterward. I've asked devs if they could add it to git. Problem is, git is not up to date, neither stable branch, nor dev, which doesn't even exist publicly. So I've had to create the RPM from the 1.6.15 tarball. I plan to add init files in a -3 release (with metarestore option), and maybe a -4 with user creation if possible, once I've read how to do such a thing. That *may* be done this week-end. Did I say it's unsure ? :) -- Laurent Wandrebeck GPG fingerprint/Empreinte GPG: F5CA 37A4 6D03 A90C 7A1D 2A62 54E6 EF2C D17C F64C |
