i've build moosefs for the first time last week 1.6.19 on debian squeeze

and recall that mfscgi would not build, it took me some time fiddling
around to get it to build (not 100% sure what i did anymore) but
following back the steps i tend to believe it was an unmet dependency on
python, could not find any documented on this.
not sure if it is an identical problem or that something changed in
MooseFS (not familiar on Moose) but you might want to check it if all
else fails
