Here is our github discussions page: https://github.com/moosefs/moosefs/discussions To answer your question: it's absolutely not a problem to mix and match OSes on machines with MFS components. In our lab we have a mix of Ubuntu, Centos and Debian with a FreeBSD machine on top ;) Everything goes, as long as it can run mfs master or mfs chunkserver. The only thing to remember is, if you also want to upgrade mfs itself while you are upgrading your oses, this should start with your metalogger, then master, then chunkservers, then client processes. In other words, you shouldn't try to connect a newer chunkserver or client to an older master.
