We have about 8 million chunks (12mil FS objects) and use about 3GB of 
RAM on the metamaster; the metadata backup is about 1GB.

As we grew the data from about 6 million chunks to 8 million chunks the 
size of the metadata in RAM fluctuated between 3GB and 4GB. It is 
actually using less RAM now than it was last week with 7mil chunks. This 
might be due to trash space getting freed or expired chunks being 
deleted, I wasn't watching those numbers.
