For purpose using metalogger and chunkservers on Windows
we use VMWare GSX on Windows with guest FreeBSD (or Linux :--).
This solution is not for hi load but works well !

And I heard something about colinux (cooperative Linux under windows)
but have not tested. May be it will be a good case.

We did test mfs chunkserver under Windows with cygwin, but it was just confirming that it works - not even running it in any test environment for longer time. If you decide on running it under windows in a bigger environment, please share your experience with us.

Is chunkserver tested seriously under Cygwin? I have already a linux
mfs cluster running perfectly, but I still hope to utilize a plenty
of windows machines with free spaces.
