Hi, About a week ago we started seeing poor performance on one of our MooseFS installations. We use MooseFS for user home directories and two users had problems with the gvfsd-metadata daemon rapidly creating/writing/deleting files in ~/.local/share/gvfs-metadata. A quick search on the Web shows this to be a common problem. The recommended fix is to kill the gvfsd-metadata daemon and then remove the ~/.local/share/gvfs-metadata directory which will be recreated later as needed. Hopefully this information will come in handy for anyone else encountering the same problem. Regards, Steve |
