I forgot to include:

- All storage nodes run Debin 6.0 (x86_64).
- All storage nodes run MooseFS on /var which is JFS.
- MooseFS 1.6.20 is used (compiled from source).

Recovery only yielded a metadata.mfs.back file which dates back to 29 June
2011.
