Hi Stas! Have you done restart of the master or only reload? Reload is not enough, you need to restart it so that the new limits are set. Marking a disk for removal doesn't stop updating the data. But you need to remember that a table in CGI monitor has two "states" - one with all disks and the other without disks marked for removal. Both tables are updated on the fly.
