Thanks very much.Actually,I also want to depart master and chunk ,make them
separately,like "emerge mfsmaster","emerge mfschunkserver"...But in Gentoo ,
things become easier,we just need to use USE flag to control which program
to compile.For example,we only need masterserver ,and then use
USE="-mfschunkserver -mfsmetalogger" emerge mfs,we can get the same
result.In my opoine, we can use USE flag to easier mantianing and keeping
the version consistently.

By the way,I use start-stop-daemon to run mfscgiserv,but the PID is wrong,so
I haven't finished this init script yet.

I will take a look at your ebuild, as a reference, usually the packages get
named mfs-master mfs-chunkserver and mfs-client, but that is of course your
decision.

If you are interested I maintain the Arch Linux packages, and those are
fairly similar to ebuilds, maybe how they are set up can help as a
reference:
