[Moosefs-users] About snapshot

I have saw the web about snapshot

but  I want to know how does it work?

(Does it a fully copy or copy the different place)

and how the storage the snapshot uses?
(when i do the snapshot , i use 'df'  to see the storage ,i found it take
the size equal to original size,but only take a while , does it really write
into the disk)

does anyone know that ?
