[Moosefs-users] mfsmetalogger shutdown issues

I am working on the moosefs failover, and I have cleaned up a number of
bugs, but I did discover that if the mfsmetalogger files are not present
when you try to shut down the metalogger you need to pass it a kill -9. Any
way this could be changed to detect conditions which will cause the
mfsmetalogger stop to deadlock and kill it differently?
