Hi! Usually client process would read from chunkserver process running on the same machine. But sometimes when the chunkserver is already under heavy load it may be decided that this client would get files from another chunk server. Subject: [Moosefs-users] copy from localhost I have a question, I have masterserver A, chunkservers A,B,C,D,E,F. If chunkserver C as a client mounts the mfs parition and copies a file to a local drive, will it acess any of the chunks from it's own chunkserver? I see the copy going at 11.6MB/s on a 100M switch, however I assumed that any chunks locally would copy faster. i.e. will the chunkserver when acting as an mfs client copy from it's own chunkserver? regards Gov.gd sysadmin |
