[Moosefs-users] Performance issues and virtual machines

I am using a moosefs mount for kvm virtual machine images. These images are
showing somewhat iratic performance profiles, some of them operate at full
speed, around 40-60MB/s, but some of them are moving along at only 4-8 MB/s.

I am running tests on multiple levels of my system to try and find where the
problems are.

My question for the list is simply, do you all have any suggestions as to
what I can check?

I am running Ubuntu 10.04 on all systems (I am planning on trying an
Archlinux vm eventually) and moosefs 1.6.17.
