Hello, I want to clarify few things regarding MooseFS (didnt find clear answers in the FAQ section): On what principle (speed/rate) does the replication of chunks work? While actively using a MFS attached filesystem (rsyncing to it) switched of one of the chunkservers and of course when bringing it up again bunch of files were undergoal - atm I'm seeing something like 1 file/chunk replicated per second. While non-agressive replication is fine (doesn't degrade the rest of the system) is there a way to adjust / finetune it (or maybe its done automatically)? Is it somewhat connected to also chunkserver count - like more chunkservers = higher replication rates (since the replication is distributed then) or the goal size (the more file is undergoal (for example 1 copy out of 6) the faster it gets replicated) or its just some preset/hardcoded rate? rr |
