I checked that webpage, very informative :)

I'm not really familiar with bonnie but I guess it creates and deletes lots of 
files to test disk throughput, etc, right?

In that case, your're probably filling MFS's trash can, check here:

And also the section "Setting quarantine time for trash bin" here:

You may mount the trash can and delete the files in there, then set trashtime 
to 0 with 'mfssettrashtime -r 0 /tmp/mfs_c0' and check again the resulting 
behavior
