As .cfg files are not from the base package, they won't be deleted/overwritten, etc. First, I advise you to disable rpmforge by default (it owns some packages already provided by base and update repo, in different versions, and I guess you don't want them by default). Edit /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo and change enabled line. then, yum update mfs --enablerepo=rpmforge should be enough, and restart the service. Please read yum info mfs, yum info mfs-cgi, yum info mfs-client to know precisely which package you know for a given machine.
