Hi, I'm looking at the pros and cons of using MFS in our enviroment and there are a few things that I have not found an answer too yet. How much CPU and RAM is required for chunkservers part from the requirements of the OS itself? How much info does the chunkserver need after reboot other than the chunks themselves? I'm thinking about running the OS from RAM and having the system disks only for MFS, that would result in the chunkserver having no data available at startup except for chunks written before reboot and the initial config. Would this result in the chunkserver loosing all its chunks or would it recover and just notify the master of the chunks that it finds on its drives? Hopefully my questions make sense. /Oli -- Ólafur Osvaldsson System Administrator e-mail: osv...@ne... phone: +354 517 3418 |
