FWIW, I have the mfscgiserv running for almost four months (since April 20) without any issue on CentOS 5.5 x86_64. This is of course in an internal network, only accessible from our NOC, but it might be nice to have it on public internet. For that you'd need some authorization mechanism and IMHO the rpm does the right thing. That said, the init script could be chkconfig'ed off and the admin would choose the way to run the cgi, either through apache or standalone. Regards, -- Ricardo J.
