I have Moon Secure installed and the Moon Secure Antivirus Core service running, as usual.
When I try to start Cygwin by clicking Start > All Programs > Cygwin > Cygwin Bash Shell, I see some error messages quickly appear then disappear, and Cygwin does not start.
When I try to start Cygwin by opening a Command Prompt then running cygwin.bat, it fails with the errors:
4 [main] bash 6020 C:\cygwin\bin\bash.exe: *** fatal error - couldn't create signal pipe, Win32 error 5
7762 [main] bash 6020 C:\cygwin\bin\bash.exe: *** fatal error - couldn't create signal pipe, Win32 error 5
When I stop the Moon Secure service, then I try to start start Cygwin, then Cygwin works fine. If I start the Moon Secure service again, then I can no longer continue using Cygwin. Each time I try to type a Cygwin command such as "ls", I see an error message like:
1176601870 [main] bash 2004 pinfo::wait: Couldn't create pipe tracker for pid 4280, Win32 error 5
1177843866 [main] bash 2004 pinfo::wait: Couldn't create pipe tracker for pid 4336, Win32 error 5
1180107385 [main] bash 2004 pinfo::wait: Couldn't create pipe tracker for pid 5112, Win32 error 5
1184388343 [main] bash 2004 pinfo::wait: Couldn't create pipe tracker for pid 5936, Win32 error 5
1192608570 [main] bash 2004 pinfo::wait: Couldn't create pipe tracker for pid 6136, Win32 error 5
bash: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
I am using Cygwin 1.7.0 (installed July 5, 2009) and Moon Secure 2.2.2.165 on Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. The same problem also happens with Cygwin 1.5.x.
