Mission

The main objective was to test some new electronics in near space. The configuration was based on an Arduino board (Called AWIP) and our own Inertial Measurament Unit (IMU). See the video here.

This mission was done in collaboration with our friends from the DAEDALUS association in their NEAR-SPACE-1 probe.

Results

NOTAM was published.

NS1 was recovered. All the components except for an ANIKA camera were validated in nearspace:

  • MCU ATmega168, 8 MHz, 16 kbytes, 20 MIPS – OK
  • SMD HD camera with ANIKA DSP – FAILED
  • microSD card 8 Gbytes – OK
  • LiPO batt. 120 mAh, 3.7 V – OK
  • Nordic transceiver nRF2401A with Chip Antenna 2.45 GHz – OK
  • ADXL326 Accelerometer 3DoF – OK
  • Inertial platform based on LIS331HH accelerometer and ITG-3200 gyro plus temperature sensor – OK
  • Bluearrow S0251 Microservo – OK
