Money Manager Ex is a free money management application. It is a personal finance manager.

It primarily helps organize one's finances and keeps track of where, when and how the money goes. It is also a great tool to get a bird's eye view of your financial worth.

Money Manager includes all the basic features that 90% of users would want to see in a personal finance application. The design goals are to concentrate on simplicity and user-friendliness - something one can use everyday.

It can be used to track your net worth, income vs expenses etc. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX.

History

The first version was launched on February 5, 2006.
Initially, Money Manager.NET was released written in C# and using .NET as a learning exercise by the original developer. Based on the feedback and positive reception, it was fully rewritten in C++ and made to run on all major operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OSX) and named Money Manager EX.
The goal of the software was to provide a simple, no-nonsense money management software for the masses.
