Last year I had a ticket open #696 Programs and Features icon in Windows and it was marked as fixed for the 1.3.0 release. However after installing 1.3 GA this afternoon the issue still exists. I was unsure of how to reopen the original ticket.
Looking at your ticket #696 I see that you are refering to the programs via the control panel, possibly to uninstall then reinstall.
This is a function of the packageing system that we are using at this stage, and changing Icon parameters, I am not able to get this to work.
On installation, creating a group on the Start Menu will also produce an uninstall option with the correct icons. This would be an easier option to facilitate removal rather than using the control panel option.
Note: Uninstalling MMEX will also remove the mmexini.db3 file which will cause mmex to regenerate the initialisation file. Running the setup file will without removal will install and overwrite existing files to effect the upgrade. For upgrade purposes it is prefered not to uninstall MMEX unless a problem with the mmexini.db3 file is encountered. (Tested this on Win7)

I the issue is your application specific icon does not show in "Programs and Features" the previous ticket I had was marked as closed - Fixed by Nikoli for 1.3 however its still broken. This is an accesbiilty issue as I have a few users I support who use this aplpication but have vision issues and not showing a correct icon preferably one that scales when the lage/extra large option is chosed makes it harder if they have to reinstll the application. What system do you use to build your installer?

With this I was able to fix the installer so now it will produce installation packages setting the correct icon on the control panel. Tested and works on my Win7 machine.

We use 'Inno Setup Compiler 5.5.7'
