Recent updates of MMEX say nothing about their system requirements. I have found that recent updates of Money Manager Ex for the mac require OS 10.9 or 10.10, but it is hard to get information on this. One has to download it and try to run it — then the message comes up that it requires OS whatever! (In the case of 1.2.0 and above, 10.9 or later is required, and I have 10.8.5, so it won't run.) I have tried to contact MMEX on this issue, but cannot get anyone to reply to me. I have posted on their Forum, but have gotten no usable response.
I am currently using v. 0.990 of MMEX, and like it, but I am constantly being asked to update (I'd love to!) and having to go through this every time. I downloaded V. 1.0, and got this message when I tried to run it! (see file attached, about "unidentified developer") So am I stuck forever on 0.99?

Note: I wrote the above without being logged in - it is from me.
As already written, currently we cannot provide 1.1.x or 1.2.x for Mac 10.8.x because no developer has that OS.
Regarding second error I'm not a Mac expert but you can check system preferences if possible to remove that control.
Please update your Mac, especially considering that all MACs running 10.8.x supports 10.9.x too.
I greatly appreciate finally getting some response, thank you!
I don't understand your third sentence — do you mean that Mac hardware running 10.8 will also run 10.9? There are other considerations, however, for upgrading system software. I just upgraded from 10.6 to 10.8 and it was a month of upheaval. Plus, people are not very happy with 10.9, I've heard…
You are right about the system preferences, but even when I remove that restriction, I can't open it — here is the screen I see:
If the developer can use the diagnostics listed, I could send them…
