Hi,
This issue was reported via Debian BTS [0].
Item (1) is Debian specific, but it seems is not working even using Crypt::TripleDES from CPAN
Several issues with mon.cgi:
1) Requires Crypt::TripleDES to work, but libcrypt-tripledes-perl seems
to have been removed from Debian sometime since 2004.
2) If Crypt::TripleDES is install via CPAN, the following happens:
malformed header from script. Bad header=<form method="post" action="/c: mon.cgi
Some how the population of the $url variable is damaged. I haven't dug
into this further, but I will try and do so. The CGI front-end seems to
be a nice balance of light interface and functionality, so it would be
nice if the one we shipped would allow login access.
Regards,
I think I have fixed the $url mishandling bug in our latest mon.cgi fork at
http://www.cmpublishers.com/oss/#moncgi
For what its worth.
:-)
I just use authentication in apache
