DELTREE.EXE won't work on Windows NT. Neither is XCOPY parameter /Y supported. Since NT is pretty common environment among developers, it might pay to fix those. Considering CygWin is now prerequisite, how about using rm -rf and cp?
Yes, a good idea. I think we should move to using CygWin's GNU make at the same time instead of nmake. (a much saner makefile syntax).
